Eaton SEO has introduced advanced ion implantation and fabrication
educational programs. Offered by Eaton's implant systems division, the
courses are designed to help equipment and process engineers understand
how implantation systems affect fab processes and device performance.
The courses are based on the Sematech certification model, Eaton says.
The vendor has hired Simonton Associates, a specialist in consulting and
educational programs, to oversee the program. The founder of the company
is Bob Simonton, the former director of technology for Eaton SEO. Information:

Wilden Pump & Engineering's recently revised Web site allows
visitors to browse the supplier's on-line catalog of pumps and accessories.
Technical information on the site includes CAD drawings, pump manuals,
a unit conversion calculator, and a chemical resistance database. All
these data can be downloaded. The multilingual site also features a troubleshooting
guide, a database for locating distributors, and on-line technical support.

Certification services traceable to NIST are being offered by
Barnant, a manufacturer of temperature meters, air velocity meters,
and mass flowmeters. The services adhere to MIL-STD 45662A standards.
They are available for both new and already installed equipment. The services
can be ordered solely for the instrument or for the instrument as part

A software program from Parker Hannifin's Seal Group allows
users to design application-specific glands and seals. Called Total
inPHorm, the application features include a large section on media compatibility
and custom sizing capabilities. The program provides automatic cross-references
for thousands of part numbers. It also recommends materials based on standards

HPG International's chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) sheet
for wet benches complies with the flammability test protocol for cleanroom
materials from FM Global. Sold as Brigade sheeting, it is the only
CPVC material fully listed by FM Global, according to the supplier. The
FM4910 standard determines the capability of plastic sheet materials to
limit damage caused by a fire in a cleanroom or other semiconductor process
area. The Brigade line is lead free. The white CPVC comes in sizes of
1/4-, 3/8- , 1/2- , 3/4-, and 1-in. gauges in sheets measuring 4 x 8 ft.

BOC Gases has received the Bulk Fleet Safety award from the Compressed
Gas Association for the sixth time in the last eight years. The award
recognizes BOC's fleet safety record for bulk-vehicle fleets travelling
more than 20 million miles. The supplier has more than 1000 drivers

A nylon carrying case from Draeger Safety holds the supplier's
complete line of portable gas detection instruments. The case features
a sectional divider to organize the equipment and accessories. A mesh
pouch inside the cover holds spare parts and a manual. Used for pumps
and tubes, the case holds the company's accuro pump, deluxe tube opener,
spare parts, seven boxes of tubes, a Draeger tube handbook, an extension
