New
Vision Systems has released an upgraded version of its Mono-Lith
analysis software. Mono-Lith Release 6.0 now operates on the Windows
platform. Designed to improve initial yields and reduce excursion-related
downtime, the new software contains a scripting engine that
enhances programming flexibility for use in fully automated production
environments. New features include Intelligent Overlay Flyer
Filtering, intralot systematic error-trend plots, and exporting
of plots and tables to HTML. The software runs under Windows 98,
NT, ME, and 2000. The new program also allows users to save sessions
in progress. Merging of the data-import editor and analysis modules
into a single application permits users to edit or delete data
points and immediately see the results. Information: asmith@nvs.com.
A
technical note from Inficon demonstrates how the company's
FabGuard sensor integration and analysis system can improve a
process tool's cost of ownership. FabGuard provides process
enhancements, excursion detection, and statistical monitoring
to improve tool use and overall equipment efficiency. The
system's in situ monitoring capability and real-time analysis
are designed to maximize cost savings related to tool data collection
and sensor integration. FabGuard searches for air leaks, contamination,
MFC failures, cryopump regeneration, and preclean chamber effectiveness.
The technical note includes a case study involving a PVD tool.

SemiServe
and ESHconnect are collaborating with Southrock
to offer ESH training on the World Wide Web. The hosted service
is offered through a learning management system. The package
provides environmental, safety, and health training to semiconductor
customers at minimal cost and implementation time. The learning
management system gives companies the infrastructure to offer
on-line courses to their employees. Coordination of reporting
and training minimizes administrative time. SemiServe is an on-line
business unit of BOC Edwards for ESH training. Information: www.semiserve.com/lms_information.cfm.
Asymtek
says a network of translators has rendered the vendor's training
manuals into a wide range of tongues. Languages include Chinese,
English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Swedish.
The supplier of automated fluid-dispensing systems plans to add
more languages as its business expands worldwide. The network's
regional technical experts ensure that proper industrial terms
and intent are conveyed in each language, the supplier says.

Ulvac Vacuum Components 2001/2002 catalog
carries descriptions and specs for hundreds of the supplier's
pumps, valves, gauges, leak detectors, surface analyzers, and
related products. The 384-page publication contains key product
features, photographs, external-dimension diagrams, and performance
graphs. The catalog is available in English and Japanese. Information:
